HOW THE EXPERIENCE WORKS

Dive into the art of ceramics with us and let us take care of you. All you have to do is enjoy the experience to the fullest!

  • Welcome
    • We meet at the venue 15 minutes before the scheduled start.
    • We welcome you with a welcome drink.
  • Creating
    • We explain how ceramic tableware is made and decorated.
    • You try cutting and joining clay slabs and painting with engobes.
    • You create an original mug and plate exactly the way you imagine them.
  • The result is your own painting to be proud of Memories
    • You keep your own breakfast set as a souvenir to be proud of.

Find art in everyday life

Do you also have a favourite mug that just makes your morning coffee taste better? Come and make another one with a matching plate! Relax during a pleasant experience and take home a beautiful breakfast set made exactly the way you like it.

A packed programme

First, we show you how to work with clay. We roll out slabs, cut the pieces using templates – there are two shapes to choose from for both the mug and the plate – and join them together. Then we decorate the set with a special engobe painting technique. Finally, we lightly engrave a name, initials or a small symbol on the bottom of both pieces.

What happens next?

When you are done, you leave the mug and plate with us at the studio. Our colleagues at ŠLIKR make sure they dry properly, bisque-fire them in the kiln, glaze them with a clear food-safe glaze and fire them again. Your set will be ready for pick-up in 3 weeks.
