Sama Doma

Did you see the report on painting experiences in the Sama Doma programme on ČT1? Quite possibly! We took part in this wonderful show in January 2024, and Czech Television dedicated four episodes to our concepts: alcohol ink painting for beginners, acrylic painting, painting with wine and painting with coffee.

Alcohol ink painting in the Sama Doma programme

In the episode of 8 January 2024, our instructor and artist Kristýna Němcová, together with our guests Albina Gorbina and Václav Lupač, showed how to paint with alcohol inks using the "alcohol ink art" technique. It was our ArtInk concept, in which you create your own abstract painting with alcohol-based inks and finish it with gold glitter. This painting experience suits anyone who wants to create an abstract painting and try alcohol ink art. Watch the episode here (in Czech).

Acrylic painting in the Sama Doma programme

The very next day, 9 January 2024, our artist and instructor Barbora Kabátová taught mum Denisa Neumannová and her daughter Sarinka to paint a sunflower and a parrot with acrylic paints. You can try acrylic painting at our regular public ArtMoment experiences – in 3 hours you learn the technique and paint your own artwork on canvas. Watch the episode here (in Czech).

Painting with wine in the Sama Doma programme

On Wednesday 10 January 2024, ArtMoment instructor Julie Foltýnová and participant Martina Engelmaierová focused on ArtWine – painting with wine. Red wine is used as paint (much like watercolours), and you can create a beautiful painting with it. Anyone who enjoys creating and wants to try a new technique can come and paint their own wine painting. Watch the episode here (in Czech).

Painting with coffee in the Sama Doma programme

And finally, Thursday 11 January 2024 was all about painting with coffee – ArtCoffee. Artist and instructor Barbora Kabátová showed our guest Eliška Partynglová how to paint a picture with coffee: espresso becomes the paint, and you create your own coffee painting. Watch the episode here (in Czech).
